Suddenly, He Called Me (Slovenia Stories #13)

Črenšovci – Thursday, 13th August 2015

As I told you in the previous post. I didn’t want to write diary on my birthday. However, I’ll tell you a little bit about what happened yesterday. My birthday in a glance…
I have made commitment to myself not to open any social media of mine until I got home after work as it might lead me to burst my tears. You know… homesick attack.
I broke my commitment and took sneak peek opening it while I was on the toilet (doing my ‘toilet bussiness’ of course).  Well, umm  it was so tempting!
Result: My face was starting to feel warm. A drop of tear began to pop out and was ready to drop. Close the apps immediately. Back to work. Hope my face hasn’t turned into red yet!

-          There was no Slovenian friend congratulated me. Not expecting though. But I think Roman knows. Probably he didn’t remember. Was I just expecting?

One Day Before 'That' (Slovenia Stories #12)

Črenšovci – Tuesday, 11th August 2015

Today is not much different than yesterday.. I'm still helping Leon at the same position. So, not much to tell. I still like seeing him bothered to clear up the mess made by the machine. And yes, still laughing pretty hard when he curses on it. Sometime we laugh together (probably because we pity ourselves hahah). The difference is he laughs at the machine (only) meanwhile in fact I laugh at the stupid machine and him as well for he cursing on it, hahaha. So, gue ketawa, dia ketawa dan kita pun sama-sama tertawaCiyeeee Elsa. (Laaah?!).

Leveled Up (Slovenia Stories #11)

Črenšovci – Monday, 10th August 2015

Hello Monday! The brand new day on this week. Ready to start the day? Ok, here we go...

Before getting to the story I just want to say something. It's been a week already so you've seen how's my life here and what I think about everything and everybody around me. Just to remind you, I write what I want to write, what's important to me or what takes my attention. So, yes clearly some of them may be unpleasant for you that also might lead you to think something bad about me. But, hey I don't give a fuck as it isn't my responsibility to please everybody on earth. On the other hand, if it attracts you, feel free to continue reading and even more leave me feedback on the comment section. Alright, now let's get to the core!

With Great Amount of Wine Comes Great Hangover (Slovenia Stories #10)

Črenšovci – Sunday, 9th August 2015

Hallo... How's life?

Not many special things today. Everybody's resting as we're still tired of yesterday. Even though somehow I woke up at 7.30 anf got out of the bed about 8.30 after checking on all social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Path, Skype and Instagram to catch up the latest news from Indonesia. Still Milena feels that I always wake up so early in the morning every weekend. I'm wondering it too. Well, seems like I have automatic self alarm in mind that will wake me up at the same time every morning. So, Today's agenda is clean up 'the mess' from yesterday.
As a matter of fact, Yusran threw up on his bed therefore he must clean the stains off and dry it under the sun. Yes, he must clean the vomit up from last night but he just did it this morning. So, he slept with his vomit. Can you imagine? Yuck! 😷 Bye bye overnight fermented vomit! As if it wasn't bad enough it was also spilled onto his laptop and now he got it broken so that he couldn't turn it on even after drying it. The moment when Yusran was asking Milena about how to clean it up, the sheet, the bed cover and the mattress, he got a meaningful smirk from Roman as if Roman saying 'gotcha buddy!' LOL. Haha. See? That's why I never want to get drunk. 😏 I prefer to keep my life simple, just wake up without suffering and an urge of cleaning. He was really drunk last night until he couldn't remember what happened yesterday. He didn't even know who gave him a bottle of water last night. In fact, that was me. Maaan, lo apain temen guweeeh??  Sungguh terlalu... Ckck

Unforgettable Sat-Night! (Slovenia Stories #9)

Črenšovci – Thursday, 8th August 2015

Nice to meet you. Where you been?
I could show you incredible things.
Magic, madness, heaven, sin.
Saw you there and I thought oh my God.
Look at that face
You look like my next mistake.” –Taylor swift [Blank Space]

Next mistake = next glasses of wine? 😖
For sure, it wasn’t my mistake but it referred to someone else ;). Kenapa malam? Karena dari pagi sampai siangnya biasa aja. I warn you, it’s gonna be a long story. So, sit back and relax.
At the afternoon, we bought some daily needs at Mercator with Roman. As usual, he allows me to take anything that I want. We bought chicken sausages, chocolate milk, cheese, bread, beverages, fruit bars (frutabela), bananas. I also took chips and mint candy (orbitz).  Duh, jajanan gue macam bocah banget ya?! :’). Next, we headed to a butcher’s shop in the village. On our way, either they’re curious or something, about what I like so when he was having conversation with Milena on the phone, he said, “And by the way, Elsa bought chips. That’s it, Milena. That’s what you should buy for her. Chips!”. Jirrr… Ini kan cuma karena lagi kepengen aja. Jadi keliatan kaya bocah deh :’D. So, selama ini lo penasaran sama gue? Apa yang kita suka gitu? Ahahaha. At the butch’s shop, we bought some beef and turkey. After that, we went back home. For I couldn’t stand idle in the house only, Yusran and I inisiated to ask them what they usually do on weekend? Are there any places or events around here that we can go to feel something very local? As he replied that they usually have smooth weekend and just chill at home but since they have Indonesian guests now they thought we could go somewhere. Yes! Kamu peka deh, mz! :D

Should Be Good Friday but It's Not (Slovenia Stories #8)

Črenšovci – Friday, 7th August 2015

Hella bella good fella! How’s life? Hope you’re awesome because I’m kinda out of luck. Did I get up on the wrong side of the bed this morning? Well, it’s not Friday 13th though it has become bad day. Alright, let’s say it with snap! Not much different, I still work with those guys, Simon and Leon. We do the same job at the same place. Almost feels like a routine. I started to feel bored to be honest. But then, Leon offered me a box of Mozartkugeln while working. Aha! I've been peeping on that box ever since the first day of work actually but I thought that’s empty :p.
So, if you don’t know Mozartkugeln yet, simply say it’s chocolate ball originally from Salzburg, Austria which was created by Paul Fürst, a famous confectioner in 1890 and obviously named after the well-known composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. At the beginning it’s known as Mozartbonbon, later the named was changed to Mozartkugeln. Original Salzburger Mozartkugeln is Fürst Mozartkugeln with its main ingredients are Pistachio marzipan, nougat, dark chocolate. Nowadays, there are numerous versions and recipes other than Fürst. Some are hand-made and some others industrially mass-produced. Right, back to the core! (Need to start to consider myself as a confection enthusiast too for babbling on this stuff hahaha).

All is Well as It Supposed To Be (Slovenia Stories #7)

Črenšovci – Thursday, 6th August 2015

Alright. Finally. No more late to work. No more left behind. No more misunderstanding. Everything was going well as it supposed to be. Yeah! This morning we were picked up by Janja. Again, a non-English-speaking employee :D. Yet, I know she speaks a little bit Deutsch by reason of hearing German language radio in her car on our way back home yesterday. To make it sure, I asked her, “Eee… Sprichst du Deutsch?” and she replied, “Ein bisschen” whilst her thumbnail and index finger formed a ‘small’ symbol.  At this point, think I should be the one who clarify that I don’t speak that language before she try to talk to me in German. So I tried to remember what is that ‘magic phrase’ by digging my memory up from high school where I ever learnt Deutsch (but I got nothing to remember, LOL!). Okay, let’s give it a try. “Ich spreche nicht Deutsch (the most useful phrase :D)”, I said that without knowing whether it’s grammatically correct or not. Then she was like, “Ahh… jajaja.”. Thereby I guessed ‘Aha! I’m safe now.”. But then I wondered, how we communicate each other then?

Kinda-Stupid-but-Funny Day (Slovenia Stories #6)

Črenšovci – Wednesday, 5th August 2015

Ok, just let’s straight to the point. I can’t bear any longer this feeling that made me wanted to tell you guys. By writing the title, I feel like want to rolling on the floor laughing (even I’m doing it already now ahahah). So, today we had something happened, little sweet incident :p. As you may know from previous post, we thought that everything was set up. We’d be picked up on at 5.50 a.m by Robi then go to the company. Simple and perfect, isn’t it? Not as it seems… So, I was ready at downstairs since 5.30 a.m and Yusran followed me downstairs at 5.45 a.m because he said that we should be ready by 5.50 a.m and wait outside. Turned out, he misheard! Indeed, about this thing, Victoria became a translator for ‘skinny Robi’ using Slovene (since Robi has poor English). She told Robi that we had to be picked up by 5.45 a.m. On the other hand, she translated it as well to Yusran using English about when we’d be picked up. FYI, I wasn’t there when they talked about it, Thus, I just relied that information from what Yusran said. So...

Even Better (Slovenia Stories #5)

Črenšovci – Tuesday, 4th August 2015

Yes, what can I say? Today’s much much better than yesterday. Mmm... where should I start? Initially, it wasn’t so good because Yusran and I had woken up early in the morning. Thought we’d start working from 6 o’clock (and it was how it supposed to be) but we had miscommunication. We just forgot to confirm and likewise he forgot to arranged how we’d go to the company. Jadilah bangun pagi hari ini sia-sia hahaha. But that’s okay. Doesn’t really matter. We left home around over 7.30 and almost 8 a.m even still using Roman’s car (Iya, masih dengan beemwe-nya). When we arrived at the company, he stood akimbo starring at the employees and said, “Oh, everybody is working already?”
Nah, here was the moment when I felt better. I was still working at the same place like yesterday. Yet today, Simon talked to me. Hooray… Finally, there was somebody else who wanted to talk to me (gak kaku lagi macam kanebo kering). We had small talk. Even, he brought me some water (ahh hvala Simon J). At the point, he spoke to me and that was a good move.

First Day of Work (Slovenia Stories #4)

Črenšovci – Monday, 3rd August 2015

Yep yep yep! Today is my first day of work. Feeling nervous actually yet excited and curious at the same time. We left home at 7.30 a.m with Roman drove us to the company using his car. He did it because Roman and Tomaz hadn’t set arrangement yet about our transportation. How we would go to the company and back (Anak magang mana lagi coba yang dianter sama pak bosnya naik bmw ke tempat kerja? :p hahaha). Oh yeah, upon my arrival at the company, I was welcomed by a middle-aged man named Marko. He’s kind a field supervisor in Ocean Orchids. He speaks English well J. Then, Roman handed us to him. After that, Marko brought me to Spacing department and I was placed there. Before starting work, he gave me brief explanation about the job description and what should I do. I replaced position of a Slovenian girl named Viktoria. So, my job was about moving young orchids plants in which its leaves had been growing rapidly onto bigger plastic pots so the growing leaves won’t cover one and another. The challenge was at the pot that was moving run by a conveyor machine that would only move when the nearest pot to the sensor had been filled. Two workers were positioned at end line of machine. Thus, we needed to pay attention each other since we must work in synchronicity.

Slight Hangover (Slovenia Stories #3)

Črenšovci - Sunday, 2nd August 2015

"I got a hangover, whoa!
I've been drinking too much for sure
I got a hangover, whoa!
I got an empty cup pour me some more" -Taio Cruz [Hangover]

This morning I woke up at 7 a.m with a heavy head and felt a bit dizzy. Thought I got a bit hangover feeling from yesterday (Ohh, thanks to Rok -_-). Surely, it’s because I’m not used to with that  (See? I've told you I've never drunk any alcoholic drinks before). To be honest, the only alcohol that I’ve ever tasted is holy communion wine (if it can be called as ‘alcoholic drink’ not fermented grape juice :D). So yeah, you can say I’m a church girl (try to imagine me with invisible wings and holy circle above my head O:) *wink wink* LOL!) and yesterday was a big achievement already for this church girl to drink glasses of wine and a can of beer in one night. Though, I admitted the ‘real’ wine didn’t feel that bad actually ;p.

One fine sunny morning in the summer *lazy time*

Barbeque Party (Slovenia Stories #2)

Črenšovci - Saturday, 1st August 2015

Hello again!
Before continuing, I want to say something. Jadi gini, kemaren kan sudah dicoba menulis dengan bahasa Inggris tapi kok kurang enak ya? Pas mau ceritain momen lucu jadi kurang greget. Kalo kata mbal Inul Paramita… Eh ya apa? Mbak Inul Daranista? Eh Inul Daratista? Iya, kata mbak Inul Daramanis (digigit nyamuk dong ah) rasanya bagai ‘sayur tanpa garam’ kurang enak, kurang sedap gituuu. So, start from now I’m gonna use mixed language between my first language, English (lying :p) and bahasa Indonesia as the second language. I’ll try to make it as fun as possible to read yet still informative. So, here it is... From my own perspective, Slovenian Stories day 2! Enjoooooy~
What a good Saturday night. We had barbeque party today. Roman and Milena invited his relatives to come here. You know what I like the most? They brought their children with them. Uuuh sooo cute! Jadi pengen meluk bapaknya gitu (eeehh…) :p. Some of the guests helped Roman and Milena to prepare the food and sadly I just could help them in prayer :p. Maklum ga bisa masak boo~ :’( Apalagi makanan bule.
This is Veronika (mangap dikit *cekrek*, senyum dikit *cekrek*, tongue out *cekrek*)

A Very 1st Day! (Slovenia Stories #1)

Črenšovci - Friday, 31st June 2015

Finally arrived!
We’re arrived at Vienna (VIE) Airport safely woohooo! After a long flight and journey (12 hours layover in Amsterdam), I finally touch my foot down on Vienna’s Airport around 11 p.m. Then we waited for GoOpti - a Slovenia-based road passenger transportation, to pick us up. Around 12 p.m the car came and picked us up along with other passengers who booked it as well. Then they dropped passengers one by one or group by group correspond to their own destinations. I chose Maribor Main Bus Station as destination in accordance with our arrangement with Tomaz before and then within 3 hours, I was dropped there. Next, I just needed to wait for Tomaž to pick me up at 8 in the morning. I decided to wait inside the bus station. It was soooo cold back then because there’s one door remains open (as Indonesian I’ve never felt as cold as that L). I tried to relax and survive at the same time. About 8 a.m in the middle of sleepy feeling, someone poked my shoulder from behind and said, “Elsa? Yusran?”. I turned my shoulder around and saw that’s the one who supposed to pick us up. Oh, it’s Tomaž! Hoorayyy… \('O')/
Waiting since from so early in the morning :p
The giant clock and the door that keeps open

Soon, Yusran and I moved our suitcases into his car trunk then we headed to the company. During the trip we got acquainted in no time and he explained that we would stay in Roman’s place because student apartment as the place we supposed to live is full. Oh, okay… Eh hold on… Wait whaaat?

Mengurus Visa Schengen di Kedutaan Besar Austria

Hello everyone!

As you can guess, kali ini saya akan coba sharing pengalaman tentang mengurus sendiri visa Schengen di Kedutaan Besar Austria karena dari hasil browsing saya, belum banyak yang nulis pengalaman tentang mengurus visa Schengen di Kedubes Austria. Kalo kedubes Belanda sih, ga usah ditanya lagi. Kaya jualan takjil buat buka puasa, banyak banget! Here's the link. (Many thanks to mbak Ajeng!) ^_^

So, are you ready? Lets cekidot!

Poliklinik Universitas Brawijaya, Malang

Hello fellas !

Patokannya kalo mau kesana:
Gerbang UB Soekarno-Hatta >> Jembatan Soe-Hat >> Politeknik Negeri Malang (Polinema) >> Pizza Hut >> Bubur Ayam Abah Odil >> Gedung Bertingkat (mirip apartemen) yang agak tertutup sama lempengan besi ala gedung lagi dibangun. Deket Griya Shanta. Kira-kira seberangnya Taman Krida Budaya.

Pengalaman Alergi

Hellooow gut pipeeel ! *ceritanya biar kaya tipi gaul itu*
Are you good? Cause i'm not, hahah

Well, jadi... begini ceritanya...
Beberapa hari yang lalu, gue sempet keujanan. Hujannya gerimis tapi agak deres gitu.

Iya, mandi, Beneran mandi. TAPI LUPA SAMPOAAAAN :(. And, you know what? Well, my bottom (if it's too harsh to call it 'pantat') is very sensitive. I can't sit on a cold floor no matter for how long. Even just for 5 minutes or 1 hour. Automatically, I will get 'masuk angin'. Orang Indonesia memang biasa menyebutnya dengan istilah masuk angin, Kalo orang bule sih biasa nyebutnya 'catch a cold'. Yes, catch a cold! So don't you ever say 'enter wind'. LOL! ;v
