Barbeque Party (Slovenia Stories #2)

Črenšovci - Saturday, 1st August 2015

Hello again!
Before continuing, I want to say something. Jadi gini, kemaren kan sudah dicoba menulis dengan bahasa Inggris tapi kok kurang enak ya? Pas mau ceritain momen lucu jadi kurang greget. Kalo kata mbal Inul Paramita… Eh ya apa? Mbak Inul Daranista? Eh Inul Daratista? Iya, kata mbak Inul Daramanis (digigit nyamuk dong ah) rasanya bagai ‘sayur tanpa garam’ kurang enak, kurang sedap gituuu. So, start from now I’m gonna use mixed language between my first language, English (lying :p) and bahasa Indonesia as the second language. I’ll try to make it as fun as possible to read yet still informative. So, here it is... From my own perspective, Slovenian Stories day 2! Enjoooooy~
What a good Saturday night. We had barbeque party today. Roman and Milena invited his relatives to come here. You know what I like the most? They brought their children with them. Uuuh sooo cute! Jadi pengen meluk bapaknya gitu (eeehh…) :p. Some of the guests helped Roman and Milena to prepare the food and sadly I just could help them in prayer :p. Maklum ga bisa masak boo~ :’( Apalagi makanan bule.
This is Veronika (mangap dikit *cekrek*, senyum dikit *cekrek*, tongue out *cekrek*)
Amalija, badannya padat & berisi
The super active boy in white shirt: Sam
The cute Jakob :)
Nah sedikit fakta tentang barbeque party yang namanya tuan rumah itu yang masakin dagingnya. The host is the one who grills it. Disinilah harga diri seseorang dipertaruhkan (cieleeeh ‘sa ae lo!). Kalo dagingnya enak tentu tuan rumah akan dapat pujian dan disenengin sama tamu tapi kalo ga enak ya udah pasti akan mendapat malu. This reminds me to one of TIME magazine’s cover which showed Jokowi –Indonesian’s President- served several heads of government of G20 members like Obama, David Cameron, Angela Merkel etc. by grilling sausage and using apron as well as chef’s hat. Jadi sebenarnya itu bukan menghina ya dengan menganggap presiden kita sebagai pembantu. Justru Indonesia dianggap sebagai ‘tuan rumah’ alias yang punya wewenang di situ. Bahasa Maduranya 'Person in Charge' lah, Okaaaay then, back to the topic.

So we had a talk until late at night or should I say they had the talk because I didn't understand their language. Hmm... however it sounded funny to my ears. At first, I thought their language is similar to Russian cause it soundsed like so but then I listened more carefully and it sounded like Italian. Then I concluded it sounds like both, mix between Russian and Italian.
Oh ya, gue juga dicekokin wine sama Rok (Darja's husband). Tiap kali nawarin, gue ga bisa nolak. Bukannya ga mau tapi emang dipaksa terus sama dianya. Contoh ni ya:
R: You want some?
E: Emm no. I don’t want to drink more.
R: (dengan tampang penasaran sekaligus nantangin. Sorry, muka dia emang gitu hahah) Why? Why not? Why you don’t want it?
E: (mikir ngeles) Umm, I think it’s enough for today.
R: But, tomorrow is Sunday. You still have a lot of time to rest. So, why not? Come on, take your glass!
E: (Mikir. Duh biasanya gue mah minggu ke gereja bang bukannya istirahat dari hangover :'D but I ended up with…) Oh ok, I’ll take my glass
dan masih banyak ‘penolakan gagal’ lainnya. About why it becomes so hard, I'll explain it further later so you'll understand. Alright, that's all for today. See you on next story, byeee…
